Getting Started & Ordering
What types of teams does Blue Star Sports Apparel work with?
We primarily work with K–12 cross country and track & field programs, especially mid-size and smaller schools that want true customization, consistent reorders, and real service. We also outfit club teams, community organizations, and fan groups.
If you buy clothing gear and care about how your team shows up—on and off the line—we’re built for you.
Is there a minimum order requirement?
Yes. Our minimum order is 12 total garments.
They do not have to be the same item. You can mix singlets, shorts, warm-ups, or other apparel within the same order.
For reorders, the minimum is also 12 garments.
Do you offer fully custom designs?
Yes—100% custom.
Our sublimated uniforms are designed from scratch based on your colors, logos, inspiration, and ideas. If you can imagine it, we can create it. We can also replicate an existing design if you want continuity from year to year.
This is real customization—not templates with limited options.
Are your sublimated uniforms made in the USA?
Yes. All Blue Star sublimated singlets and shorts are proudly made in America.
This allows us to:
- Maintain consistent quality
- Avoid surprise tariff costs
- Ensure reliable reorders year after year
It’s also part of our commitment to supporting family-owned manufacturing partners—just like us.
DESIGN, PROOFING AND APPROVAL
What does the design process look like?
Simple, collaborative, and coach-friendly.
- You share your ideas, logos, or inspiration
- We create custom digital mockups
- You review, tweak, and approve
- Production begins after approval and payment
We don’t rush this step—because once it’s right, it stays right for future seasons.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. Samples are available upon request.
We want you to feel confident in the fabric, fit, and finish before committing. If quality matters to you (and it should), just ask.
Can I make changes after approving artwork?
Possibly—but it depends on where your order is in the production schedule.
If changes are still feasible, additional costs may apply. Once production begins, changes may not be possible. We’ll always be transparent and communicate clearly.
Production, Shipping & Timing
How long does it take to receive my order?
Our standard turnaround time is 30 business days from:
- Final artwork approval and
- Payment or purchase order received
Business days do not include weekends or federal holidays.
Do you offer rush production?
Yes, rush orders may be available depending on timing, order complexity, and production capacity. Additional fees apply and are quoted case-by-case.
If you’re in a time crunch—tell us early. We’ll always give you an honest answer.
Can I pick up my order locally in Michigan?
At this time, local pickup is not available. All orders are shipped directly to you.
Payments & Policies
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept:
- Purchase Orders (from accredited organizations)
- Credit cards
- Checks
- ACH transfers
If your school has specific payment requirements, we’ll work with you.
Can I cancel my order?
Orders may be canceled, but because all items are custom-made, any refund depends on where your order is in the production process.
The earlier you communicate, the more options we may have.
What is your refund policy?
Because every product is custom, we do not issue refunds.
That said—if there is a manufacturing defect or error, we make it right. No hassle. No finger-pointing. That’s part of standing behind our work.
Re-orders & Long-term Programs
Can I reorder the same uniform design next year?
Yes—and this is one of our biggest advantages.
We archive your designs so you can reorder the exact same look year after year. No forced changes. No discontinued patterns. No surprises.

Is there a minimum for reorders?
Yes. Reorders also require a minimum of 12 garments.

In many cases—yes.
A large number of “all-school” apparel agreements are non-exclusive, limited in scope, or unenforceable, even if they’re often presented as all-encompassing. We always encourage coaches and athletic directors to review the fine print or ask clarifying questions—because what’s assumed to be required isn’t always what’s actually written.
Here’s what matters most:
If your team or program is able to pay for its own uniforms or gear, it typically does not impact your ability to work with Blue Star. We regularly partner with teams whose schools have broader vendor relationships in place, especially when those agreements don’t cover custom team uniforms, reorders, or specialty items.
We also know that pricing and service can vary widely depending on the product and sport. While some contracts may offer strong pricing on select stock items, that value doesn’t always extend across custom designs, long-term reorders, or quality consistency. Coaches shouldn’t have to compromise on fit, durability, or service simply because a default option exists.
Our philosophy is simple:
Coaches and athletes deserve gear that performs, lasts, and reflects their program’s identity—and they deserve partners who communicate clearly and follow through.
